Martins Grants
CEO
Martins started his insurance career in 2007. Since then, he has held various positions at ERGO, Munich Re and Aon across Europe, spanning the Property and Casualty primary insurance and reinsurance sides. Before joining GMBC in November 2025, he was working for Aon as Associate Director & Client Relationship Lead in Captive Insurance Management team, based in Dublin, Ireland. He holds Law and MBA degrees. Martins is based in Hamburg and as CEO looks after GMBC strategy, business development, operational, financial, compliance and technical support for our clients.

Ambroise Fargère
Chairman
Coming from the Nuclear industry, Ambroise started his career in Insurance in 2015 as Key Account Manager at AXA. In 2018 he joined +Simple where he led the development of the Group across Europe, first as Head of International Development and later Head of Corporate Development. Ambroise is based in Paris, he holds a MSc in Physics from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and he is an Associate Actuary. As Chairman / +Simple member of the board, Ambroise oversees the formulation and execution of GMBC’s strategic direction and advises on business development initiatives and growth opportunities.

Uwe Focht
Head of Analytics & Underwriting
Uwe started his career in the insurance industry in 2003 as a lecturer in insurance economics and reinsurance at the University of Hamburg. From 2007 he worked for Swiss Re underwriting Property and Casualty business in various markets across Europe and Asia. Before joining GMBC in February 2016, he was Swiss Re’s Head of Property Treaty Underwriting for China, based in Beijing. Uwe is one of the managing directors, based in Hamburg, with an overall responsibility for Analytics and Underwriting. He has a Diploma in Mathematics and Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Insurance Economics.
